The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) is one of the world’s leading organic farming research and technology transfer centres dedicated to sustainable agriculture. FiBL has research departments in the domains of soil sciences, crop sciences, livestock sciences, and socioeconomics and a department of Extension, Training and Communication. The close links between different areas of research and the extensive exchange of knowledge between research and practice are particular strengths of FiBL. FiBL’s research activities generally include all key players along the production and marketing chain.
FiBL leads the multi-sites evaluation of pre-breeding lines on-farm (WP5) and will be responsible for the experimental design, variety selection and variety assessment at all sites. FiBL is also involved in the seed treatments development and seed production tests of WP4, and in all dissemination activities of WP6 (lead of one set of practice abstracts and of the production of a short video on BRESOV and its main results).
