On September 6, 2018 BRESOV partner CREA (Council for Agricultural Research and Economics) hosed a meeting "The Problem of Seeds in Organic Farming Production: Sharing the Experience in Europe" in Monsampolo del Tronto in cooperation with the Horizon 2020 LIVESEED project to discuss research on organic horticulture.
A national and international delegation, composed of representatives of IFOAM, FiBL, BIONEXT, University of Ancona and Semi-rural Network, visited CREA-OF (Centro di ricerca Orticoltura e Florovivaismo, Research Centre for Vegetable and Ornamental Crops) to investigate the main research topics on organic horticulture.
The delegation discussed with the researchers of CREA-OF the main problems faced by the research world with particular reference to organic seeds. The also included a visit to the experimental device MOnsampolo VEgetable organig Long Term Field Experiment (MOVE LTE), in which the main research on the organic of CREA has been conducted since 2001.
