The Organizing Committee of ISHS III International Organic Fruit Symposium and I Organic Vegetable Symposium is pleased to share with you some important additional information. The Symposium will take place in December 14-17, 2021 and, because of the pandemic emergency and Covid restrictions, we have decided to convert the edition into a virtual event.

New Deadlines: The deadline for Early-bird registration is on August 1st, 2021; the Abstract submission will close on September 1st, 2021. The deadline for Full text submission is on September 15th, 2021.

The abstract can be uploaded on the webpage of the International Society of Horticultural Science (https://www.actahort.org/members/symposiar?nr=698) following the reported instructions.

Scientific contributions Participants are kindly invited to select their scientific contributions to the Symposium according to the following topics:

• i) Agroecology and horticultural biodiversity;
• ii) Genetics and genomic studies;
• iii) Organic breeding and propagation;
• iv) Ecophysiology in organic farming;
• v) Management of abiotic stresses;
• vi) Biological control of arthropod pests and plant pathogens;
• vii) Organic horticultural supply chains;
• viii) Tools for barcoding of organic horticultural produces;
• ix) Health and nutrition including studies on volatiles, flavours, and nutraceutical compounds;
• x) Life cycle studies, footprint, economic performance of organic farming.

Sessions will be organized by the Committees according to the number of abstracts submitted for each topic.

Every day one plenary lecture (by invited speakers) will be held in the style of a review.

Plenary lectures will last 30 minutes and regular oral presentations 15 minutes. Each session will be concluded with discussion of presentations. Posters will be displayed in a specific room titled posters presentation.

Registration

• You are kindly asked to register yourself on-line at www.orghort2020.it using the pre-registration form indicating the topic or the provisional title of your presentation/s. Details about fees, facilities and services are available on the Symposium web site. Early bird registration will only be completed upon receiving registration fees before August 1st, 2021. Only pre-registration before that date will not be considered as full registration to the Symposium. Bank details are available at Symposium website.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation is allowed with full refund minus an administrative charge of 50 Euros when a notification is provided before November 15th; no refunds will be considered later than that date. Nevertheless, you may re-assign your registration to another colleague free of charge.
